  This centuries, take on the five and dime store.
  Safety pins, suspenders, kitchen iteams, lots of Art's and Crafts. History goes back to the 1940's.

  Probably older than Bethesda itself, Bruce Variety has and always will have rogue, slightly old-looking miscellany. It's lots of fun to wander aimlessly, or come here for those things you need that seem to belong to no category. There are tons of craft supplies (it should be the first stop for Halloween) and also simple clothes, office tools, household items, retro toiletries, and a cave full of children's books and toys. Everything is cheap and seems to come from a different world.

  Like stepping back to 1950. Everything you never knew you needed. I love this place.
